> 20 March 2014

From 18th March 2014, in Musanze District, started a training on business women involvement and participation in public, private dialogues organized in Districts. This training was attended by 27 women champions from 16 districts where the RPPD mechanism is already operational. The training was conducted by Daniella NZIYUMVIRA and Larissa MASENGE; consultants from EXHIBIT Burundi. The first day of the training was concentrated on the identification of possible hypothesizes behind the low participation and involvement of business women in dialogues while the second day was reserved to the verification of hypothesizes through the women champions meeting with the focus group composed by 20 business women operating in Musanze. On the 20th March the trainees moved from Musanze and met today, business women focus group in Muhanga in order to crosscheck Musanze findings with the reality in Muhanga. In both Districts, RPPD women champions discovered that in majority of cases, the culture, the woman nature, the mindset are major causes of the low participation of business women in dialogues that bring together the public and private sectors. This causes were identified trough an amazing sketch performed by trainees.
