NYAMAGABE RPPD discusses district taxes
> 6 March 2014
Today, RPPD held a meeting about changes in district taxes without consultation of the Private Sector in NYAMAGABE.
The dialogue was attended by public sector and private sector. The public sector was represented by five participants including the Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Immaculee MUKARWEGO and 26 participants from the private sector. They included business as agriculture, trade, cooperatives or small businesses.
Participants were very active during the dialogue seeing their different ideas about tax issues. One participant said that the tax decided without consultation of private sector is too high. They gave concrete examples in their daily businesses. Higher taxes make it for them difficult to buy enough raw materials.
The dialogue convinced the district authorities to take consultations on PSF before taking decisions about business related issues.
