> 16 December 2014

From the 25th to the 27th November 2014, in Bugesera at Palast Rock Hotel, was held a training on moderation skills jointly organized by RDB and PSF under the support of GIZ.

The training was attended by RPPD champions mainly composed by new PSF presidents, Vice Presidents and champions from the public sector that didn’t benefit from mentioned trained before.

These participants were from Musanze, Rubavu, Muhanga, Huye, Nyarugenge, Gasabo, Kicukiro, Rusizi, Nyagatare, Gatsibo, Bugesera and Ngoma.

The training was facilitated and conducted by Exhibit Burundi; represented by Daniella NZIYUMVIRA and Larissa MASENGE; experts in communication.

The training focused on the following key topics: the methodology of a moderation, techniques of a moderation, tools used during a moderation, basis for a moderation, elements of a moderation, phases of a moderation, clarification of a moderation contract, roles and functions of a moderator, how to get feed-back from participants and on the evaluation of the moderation.

The training was enriched by practical exercises of moderations that allowed participants to evaluate themselves vis- a - vis the skills obtained.

The fact that the training was conducted in Kirundi; similar language to Kinyarwanda, encouraged the total participation of all participants. Once again, the interactive method and tools used by the trainers impacted positively on the success of this training.
