Moderation training for champions in RPPD Mechanism

From 24th to 28th March 2014, the moderation training for Champions from different districts started at La Palisse Nyandungu Hotel. The concerned districts were into two groups. The first one was composed by champions from Ruhango, Nyanza, Kayonza, Kirehe and Kamonyi. And the later was formed by Champions from Gakenke, Burera, Gicumbi and Ngororero. The main objective of this training was to outfit champions with skills related to the moderation’s dialogues or meetings.

The training was attended by 26 champions from public sector and private sector in group one starting from 24th to 26 March 2014 and 13 Women were included. The attendance for the second group was 18 in total with 9 women. This group started training from afternoon hours of 26th until 28th March 2014.
The moderation training was facilitated by international consultants, Larissa MASENGE and Daniella NZIYUMVIRA from EXHIBIT Burundian Company. The key points were: moderation elements, moderation plan, roles and functions of the moderator.

Through the training, the participants benefited the experience from facilitators using sketch and be familiar with moderation during dialogues or meetings. From these practices, the trainees came up to realize a wonderful simulation to be applied to their respective districts. The training was ended by awarding certificates to the participants in presence of PSF Representative at National level, RDB and GIZ supporting RPPD Mechanism.
