> 9 June 2014

From the 4th to 6th June 2014, the Macadamia training for Champions from five Districts started at Palast Rock Hotel / BUGESERA. The concerned Districts were KAYONZA, KIREHE, GICUMBI, GAKENKE and BURERA. The main objective of this training was to equip champions with skills in planning and conducting a successful stakeholder’s dialogue.
The Macadamia Training was attended by 22 champions from both public sector and private sectors. Women participants were 11. The Public sector was represented by 6 champions while the Private sector was represented by 16.
The Macadamia Training was facilitated by 4 GIZ consultants: BIZIMUNGU J. Baptiste, NTAGERUKA Charles, TWISHIME Hyacinthe and BIGABIRO Charles-Louis. It is ended by Daniel NKUBITO from RPPD Secretariat. At the end of the training, champions from each District came up with an action plan for the first dialogue. Issues to be discussed were selected among those raised during the RPPD road shows conducted in last February. Participants appreciated the content of the trainings as well as the way it was conducted.
